Third time lucky was the way forward for Jason and Lisa.
Like for many many couples, 2020 didn’t allow things to go exactly to plan. Wedding plans which were usually drafted and shaped for months, if not years, often needed to be adapted very last minute.
Jason and Lisa got engaged and planned their Big Day for September 2020. And even though some restrictions were lifted by that time, some of them were still in place and that would mean compromising on a lot of plans Lisa and Jason had in mind. However, despite the initial disappointment, they didn’t let the change be a sad occasion. They decided to celebrate their 'first planned wedding day’ with a family photo shoot at Lisa’s parents’ farm. Lisa and Jason’s boys were there, and so were Lisa’s parents. We had a lot of fun in the corn field, on hay bales, in the orchard and generally roamed free in this glorious Devonshire setting.
It was also a great practice round for the future bride and groom, in anticipation of their wedding day photos 🙂
Take Two and Three
This was put off and scheduled for 8th May 2021. But yet again, restrictions remained in place and bride and groom made the hard decision to push their plans a bit and book the first weekend after the relaxation of rules. They were allowed to have some guests (30 to be precise) which was more than what would have been the case just a few weeks earlier.
And the big day was finally scheduled for 29th May 2021.
And what a day it was. From the moment I stepped into Lisa and Jason’s home I could feel the joy and happiness this entire wedding party was sharing.
The groom’s party was getting ready at his parent’s house, just a few houses down the street.
The ceremony was at the Cheriton Bishop Church and the celebrations took place at Lisa’s parents’ farm. And it was AWESOME!
Have a happy life together guys 🙂
