Family photo shoot in Exeter – Jackson with his mum and nan

Family photo shoot in Exeter – Jackson with his mum and nan

Jackson’s mum contacted me several weeks ago to book a nice photo shoot for her little boy Jackson. She loves capturing his milestones and recording how he is changing and evolving. She knows exactly how precious and volatile childhood moments are, how quickly our children change and how absolutely crucial it is to freeze their memories. Jackson’s mum was also keen to be in the photos herself and also wanted to bring Jackson’s nan.  We started planning our special family photo shoot and were super excied to proceed.

Outdoors or studio?

My clients are always welcome to choose which option suits them better. Each parent knows their child best and knows in which set up they are most likely to feel happy. After chatting to Jackson’s mum we concluded that an outdoor location would suit him better, as he is a lively, inquisitive and energetic little man who loves exploring the world around him. We chose a nice park location where I knew Jackon would be able to run around, play hide and seek and generally feel happy and unrestrained. I dare to say that it was a good decision – just look at his happy face in the photos for proof.

Three generations

When I met the two beautiful ladies I was told that they never got any photos taken together so you can guess how thrilled I was to be able to photograph them together. Whilst Jackson was chasing some squirrels, playing with his favourite rugby ball and looking for bugs in the tree trunks, Vicky and her mum got the chance to have some beautiful photos taken. There was laughter, smiles, giggles and a bunch of priceless and timeless images captured.

Jackson is one lucky boy. Not only is he a handsome and happy little chap, but he has a loving a caring family to look after him and celebrate his happy childhood with him. Now he also has a beautiful gallery of images that he is bound to love and treasure in his adult life. I know that Jackson’s mum loves to take photos of Jackson, to keep their fragile memories from fading. Now Jackson also has his beautiful mummy and nan in the photos with him. How amazing is that 🙂

As a mum, I know how easy it is to just focus on taking photos of your children – they are perfect, right? So no wonder you end up with 52907 images of your little one on your phone. It is easy to hold the camera and take pictures. But it takes a lot of love, care and a tiny bit of courage to be in the photos too and to let your children have a priceless and timeless gift of memories.

It is truly amazing to be able to work with people like you, guys 🙂 And I am already excited for our next meeting 🙂
