Family Photographer, Exeter – Natalie & Family in Dartmoor

Exeter Family Photographer –  Natalie & Family in Dartmoor

Whenever I take my own family for fun days out, I keep my eyes peeled for new stunning locations. Somewhere where I could then invite my clients to photograph them in a breathtaking location and to create incredible images for them. My list is growing every month as I explore the Devonshire landscape. One of my latest discoveries is Meldon Quarry and reservoir located just on the edge of Dartmoor. It offers not only ample opportunities to have fun, but for a family photographer – it is a true dreamland.

Natalie & her family

Natalie contacted me after her sister had a photo shoot with me a few months ago and she wanted to book a similar experience for her own kids and husband (NB: if you trawl through my blog posts I bet you will be able to guess which sister I have in mind. They both have the same gorgeous smile and photographing them couldn’t be more fun).

When Natalie got in touch to discuss a location for their photo shoot she was keen to follow my suggestions. When she mentioned that they lived not far from Okehampton, I could not resist but offer this stunning spot for their photo shoot. Luckily Natalie was up for it and we both headed off.

On the day

Natalie came to the photo shoot with her husband and two absolutely gorgeous cute little girls. One of them (you will soon find out which 😉 has absolutely rocked every image. She did not need any direction from me and simply aced every shot. She was smiling, engaging and most of all – totally happy. This location allowed both girls to feel relaxed, explore new things around them and we could have lots of giggles too 🙂 We even pretended that Lydia was a queen and we were making up a list of dishes for her dinner. Cooked frogs was one of them – you can only imagine how much fun we had together and the images that I captured, I feel really tell the story and convey the mood we were all in.

But Lydia wasn’t just great at posing. She actually helped me to try to get her little sister Georgia to smile 🙂 We got some giggles from Georgia, but Lydia was also very credible as a roaring lion so Georgia got a bit scared once too 🙂 But only for a minute, as mummy was at hand to give some cuddles and scare the lion away 🙂

Let me take you for a little Dartmoor trip, to show you how I and  this lovely family got to spend one fine afternoon.

If you too would like to go on a fun adventure to create incredible images for your family please let me know and I will be happy to help 🙂

ENJOY 🙂
