Engagement Photo Shoot – one of the best pre-wedding gifts you can give yourself

Engagement photo shoot may seem like an unnecessary spending when  you are planning a wedding. You may think that you have already spent money on booking a professional wedding photographer and yet another photo shoot is simply redundant.

However, it is actually one of the best things that couples can invest in before their Big Day or you, a guest can gift to them. Some of the packages offered by me include a complimentary photo shoot for my lovely Clients and I truly believe it is one of the most precious  pre-wedding gifts any bride and groom-to-be can be given.

Why?

There are just a few, yet extremely good reasons for that

1.You can practice posing together

I bet you have got tons of selfies and other couple shots taken by friends at parties, weddings etc. As much as these are lovely and totally priceless, they are very much different from a professional photo shoot with a photographer. So far you have been ‚posing yourself’ and this time you are likely to be guided into various poses by your photographer. It will be a bit awkward at first, but the longer you do it the more comfortable and natural you will get. You will have many opportunities to cuddle, kiss, look into each others eyes, and so on. I cannot imagine this NOT being fun 🙂

2. You and your photographer can get to know each other better

As a past bride I know exactly how hard it is to pose for wedding photos and how crucial it is to work with someone that you feel comfortable around. It is not just about instructions and you following them. It is about feeling happy, relaxed, and feeling comfortable in whatever pose and place you are. The photographer will be there to guide you and simply capture the moments that you will create. Posing is a skill – the more you do it, the better (and more relaxed) you get!

3. You will have timeless precious images to treasure

When my husband proposed to me (in Dartmoor, somewhere in a completely secluded spot a few years ago) he brought our camera with him. I still have a photo of me, standing with a bunch of flowers in one hand, a glass of bubbly in my other hand and totally in tears. (Happy tears, may I add). When I look at this photo I remember the emotions, the happiness and the excitement of what was to come. Looking at your engagement photos you are bound to feel the same way.

Anna & Maciej’s engagement photo shoot

… was booked for last Saturday (April 2017). We scheduled the photo shoot for a late afternoon by the river Exe in Exeter. We were lucky that the sun came out and we could enjoy some warm sun rays and capture some stunning photos. Anna was wearing a very sweet and flattering attire – a plain white top and tulle pink skirt. Astonishing blush pink stilletos and a blush and white flower wreath complimented her gorgeous look. Maciej wore a stylish and an ever green set – dark trousers, white shirt, suspenders and a bow tie. Classic, simple and super stylish. Totally spot on. (By the way, you can read more about preparing your outfits for an outdoors photo shoot here http://agakowalska.co.uk/wear-outdoors-family-photo-shoot/)

They also happen to be gorgeous people, so the photo shoot was bound to be a success. AND IT WAS! 🙂
