Styled Maternity Photo Shoot with The Prop Factory

A maternity photo shoot like none before

Each mum is different and experiences her pregnancy in the most unique way. Some of mums adore pregnancies and can literqally imagine being pregnant forever, others are impatiently counting down until the due date (I happened to be the latter type). No matter how poorlym tired, exillerated, uplifted, excited, sore, swollen etc you feel – you are doing amazing and your pregnancy is one to be celebrated.

Each maternity photo shoot that I have done so far has been planned with each mum individually, allowing them to be photographed JUST the way they wanted.

Carmen (by the way, love the name! 🙂 ) has had a very clear idea in her head how she would like to be captured and honestly I couldn’t have been more excited to be a part of her memories.

The gorgeous mum-to-be, Carmen Croxall is the founding mother of a totally amazing company called The Prop Factory. An enchanged warehouse, full of the most amazing, beautiful props that were either bought or made by the super talented bunch. I have been in awe of their assortment ever since I first heard about them and meeting the woman who is behind the brand name was a true privilege. You can read a truly touching story of Carmen’s road to the business she has now here

Colehayes Park

Such a unique photo shoot required a super cool location and I am glad Carmen and the team chose this one. Set amongts acres of stunning Devonshire scenery Colehayes Park welcomed us and worked as a cosy set up for our photo shoot.

Since there is a BABY coming, it doesn’t come as a surprise that there were TOYS. And that there were MANY of them. But they were all super big and that’s what made the shoot so unique and awesome. Girls from The Prop Factory came with a clear scetch, heads fulls of ideas and in high spirits. Working with them was so much fun. And whilst it was gloomy and raining outside, I was sipping coffee in a country house in Devon that seemed like a dream come true. You may not know but I hold a BA degree in English language (I am a qualified teacher of English as a foreign language and I actually worked as a teacher for a few years before coming to the UK). When I was at uni, reading the classics of British literature such as „Wuthering Heighs”, „The Hound of Baskervilles” or other novels, I always imagined what it would be like to visit England one day.  I never even dreamt that I would actually get to live in a country that was so beautifully depicted in my favourite books. And here I was. In a typical English country house, sipping coffee and living the life that I never dared to believe was possible. Honestly, someone please pinch me 🙂

Carmen, you a gorgeous woman – inside and out. Your energy, creativity and kind nature are truly precious and I am ever so grateful for being a part of your creative maternity photo shoot. I can’t wait to meet the newest member of the Prop Factory family <3
