A new baby in the house
I simply couldn’t wait to show you these gorgeous photos from a newborn lifestyle photo shoot which I did very recently.
As a mum of two kids, I know how incredibly precious and tough the first days with your newborn can be. You want to cherish and grasp every moment with your new arrival, but you are sleep deprived, your body is recovering from one of the greatest tasks it has ever performed and your family is learning a new daily routine with the new family member.
You stare at the baby a lot, completely gobsmacked that YOU created something so perfect and beautiful. You would like to freeze the moments so that you can cherish them etermally but they go so quickly. Your baby changes daily. Literally, daily. Check out the growth charts in the red book and you will see I am telling you the truth 🙂
There is a way…
Many parents choose to book a professional studio newborn photo shoot where a photographer will pose their little piece of perfection into cute props and outfits. You will be invited to a studio (or a home studio) where the photographer will use a variety of props and outfits to create a gallery of the cutest artistic creations with the baby being the subject. The alternative to that is a lifestyle photoshoot…
where a photographer visits your family in your house to capture your family’s first moments together in a natural way, with minimum direction, natural light and in your baby’s most natural environmenst. We don’t need any props or special outfits as the purpose is to show and evidence your baby’s first moments in the most natural, authentic and emotive way.
By choosing a lifestyle photography you can enjoy the comfort of your home, where you feel best especially in this totally new situation. The photographer will work around you and your new baby, offering a ‚reportage’ style of photo shoot. There will be very little of posing and direction involved, and most of the time you will be just doing what is most natural to you and your baby. Feeding, changing, kissing and cuddling your baby and so on. My job will be just to evidence that. You will be creating the scene and my role will be just to witness and freeze these moments in a beautiful way for you to treasure.
Meet Aria and her gorgeous family
Aria’s mummy invited me to their beautiful home where I met the sweetest family – mummy, daddy, little sister Aria, her big sister Acacia and two cute dogs that were present throughout the whole session and truly enjoyed being in the photos 🙂 Acacia was ever so open and welcoming. She dressed as Elsa, sang ‚Let it go’ for me and even let me try her Elsa’s high heel shoes. Everyone seemed to relaxed, happy and just comfortable. I was so thrilled to witness such genuine and real emotions, real life in this family’s most comfortable surrounding. And since the images are worth a thusand words, here they are…
